64 11 937 Replacing evaporator temperature sensor (climate control, from 03/2000)

Unscrew bolt (1).

Remove side carpet (2) in direction of arrow towards rear.

Unclip air duct for right footwell (3) and remove towards right.

Remove screws (1) and (2).

Remove retaining bracket (3).

If necessary, remove servodrive of rear compartment flap. Refer to 64 11 850 REPLACING SERVODRIVE OF REAR COMPARTMENT FLAP (AUTOMATIC A/C, FROM 09/97) .

Disconnect plug connection (1).

Pull out evaporator temperature sensor (2) in direction of arrow.

Installation:

Slide gasket (1) as far as it will go onto evaporator temperature sensor (2).

Slide evaporator temperature sensor (2) centrally into opening (3) until gasket (1) snaps into place.
