64 12 770 Removing and installing/replacing changeover valve for latent heat accumulator

Remove left front wheel and left wheel arch trim. See 36 10 300 REMOVING OR INSTALLING FRONT OR REAR WHEEL and 51 71 040 REMOVING AND INSTALLING/REPLACING FRONT LEFT OR RIGHT WHEEL ARCH COVER

If necessary, remove plastic cover from valve unit

Disconnect hoses (1), unfasten hose clip (2) and pull off hoses.

Pull off connectors.

Slide valve unit upwards and lift forwards to remove.

Unscrew bolt (1). Loosen screws (2).

Lift valve cover upwards to remove.

Unfasten hose clip and pull off hoses (1, 2, and 4).

Unfasten screws and pull changeover valve sideways out of hose (3).

Installation: 

Insert dowel pins (1) into bore of bracket and screw down valve.

Installation: 

After completion of repair work, bleed the latent heat accumulator, refer to 64 12 VENTING LATENT HEAT ACCUMULATOR (LWS)
