64 51 522 Removing and installing/replacing expansion valve (air-conditioning)

Air conditioner drained, refer to 64 50 009 DRAWING OFF, EVACUATING AND FILLING A/C SYSTEM (R 134A) .

Unfasten clip from right air ducts, twist air duct and lift out.

Installation: 

Fit air duct to end wall, twist and then insert in bottom of microfilter.

Unfasten screws and remove pressure and suction pipe.

Installation:  Replace O-rings.

Subsequent tasks are described in 64 11 200 REMOVING AND INSTALLING/REPLACING HEATER (HEATER) .

Remove glove box, refer to 51 16 360 REMOVING AND INSTALLING RIGHT GLOVE BOX .

Remove trim sections from right oddments tray,

Unfasten screws and pull out air duct for footwell ventilation.

Unfasten screws and remove cover from expansion valve.

Unfasten screws, pull lines slightly apart and remove expansion valve.
