63 12 001 Removing and installing/replacing left headlight

Unclip inner trim and press downwards out of headlamp holders (1).

Feed hook (2) out of outer trim and remove trim.

Installation:

Make sure rubber seal (1) is correctly seated.

Mount trim (2) on installed headlamp.

Up to 09/2000:

Disconnect all headlamp plug connections.

Unfasten screws.

From 09/2000:

Disconnect all headlamp plug connections (1).

Release screws (2).

All:

Unfasten screws and pull headlight forwards to remove.

Installation:

Screws (1) with large diameter: at bottom.

Screws (2) with small diameter: at top.

Installation:

Adjust protrusion of hood/bonnet over headlamp glass lens.

Adjust headlights, refer to 63 10 004 ADJUSTING HEADLIGHTS .
