51 24 050 Removing and installing/replacing lock (locking cylinder) for trunk lid set

Remove trim for bottom of trunk lid, refer to 51 49 005 REMOVING AND INSTALLING/REPLACING TRIM FOR LOWER TRUNK LID .

Unfasten cable tie and disconnect plug connection.

Lift out actuating rod (1).

Unfasten nut and remove connection (2).

Installation:

Check that actuating rod (1) is correctly seated.

Locking section (2) must be fitted to center of body aperture.

Installation:

Perform function check with trunk lid open.

Only replace:

Remove clip (1) lift out bracket (2) and remove micro-switch (3).
