54 34 125 Removing and installing/replacing trim on convertible top lock

Necessary preliminary tasks:

Open convertible top slightly.

Mechanical convertible top only:

Remove handle . See 54 31 024 Removing And Installing Or Replacing Handle For Convertible Top Cover Lock .

NOTE: Work is shown on the removed convertible top.

Press in cover from rear slightly and remove towards bottom.

Unfasten screws.

Open convertible top halfway.

Unscrew left and right bolts.

For replacing EH convertible top only:

Release screws in area (1).
Unhook cover on right and left from guide (2) and pull with flat welt (3) to center from guide (2).
Remove trim.
