54 31 140 Removing and installing/replacing convertible top catch turn cross

Necessary preliminary tasks:

Do not remove convertible top.
Remove actuating rods on catch (remove convertible top catch). See 54 31 060 Removing And Installing/Replacing Left Or Right Convertible Top Catch (Mechanical) .

Loosen screws (1).

Tightening torque, see 54 31 15AZ in SLIDE/TILT ROOF AND CONVERTIBLE TOP - TIGHTENING TORQUES .

Remove reinforcement brace (2).

Release screws (3) from turn cross (4).

Remove turn cross towards bottom front.

Installation:

Basic adjustment is necessary in event of replacement.
