51 43 070 Removing and installing/replacing side trim panel, footwell, on A-pillar, left

Necessary preliminary tasks:

Remove front entrance cover strip (inner) . See 51 47 000 Removing And Installing/Replacing Front (Inside) Left Or Right Entrance Cover Strip .
Remove trim panel for pedal assembly . See 51 45 185 Removing And Installing/Replacing Trim For Pedal Assembly .

Release screw (1).

Remove engine hood actuating lever (2) in direction of arrow from footwell side trim panel on A-pillar on left (3).

Release door mucket (2) in area of footwell side trim panel on A-pillar on left (5).

Release screws (1).

Unclip footwell side trim panel on A-pillar on left (5) in direction of arrow from retaining points (4).

Unlock plug connection from rear lid unlocking switch (3) and disconnect.

Remove footwell side trim panel on A-pillar on left (5).

Installation:

If necessary, lever out clips (3) remaining in bores.

If necessary, replace faulty clips (3).

Make sure lug (4) is correctly seated in associated mounting.

Place footwell side trim panel on A-pillar on left (2) preinstalled with clips (3) on associated bores and clip into place.

Replacement:

Press catches and remove rear lid unlocking switch (1) and remove in direction of arrow.
