51 16 367 Removing and installing right glovebox with housing (with active knee protection)

WARNING:

Necessary preliminary tasks:
- Disconnect battery negative lead 12 00... INSTRUCTIONS FOR DISCONNECTING AND CONNECTING BATTERY .
- Remove right glovebox . See 51 16 360 Removing And Installing Right Glovebox (With Active Knee Protection) .
Release screws (1).
Loosen screws (2).
Installation:
Replace screws (2).
NOTE:
Secure right glovebox with housing (4) against falling out.
Lever out right glovebox with housing (4) using special tool 00 9 317 at retaining points (3) and remove.
Unlock and disconnect associated airbag module plug connection for front passenger knee protection.
NOTE:
Do not lose nuts (5) belonging to screws (2), detach if necessary.
Installation:
Replace retainers (1).
Make sure retainers (1) of right glovebox with housing (2) are correctly seated in associated mountings.
Replacement:
Remove airbag module for front passenger knee protection. See KNEE AIR BAG MODULES .
If necessary, press both bearing pins (3) in direction of arrow out of right glovebox with housing (2).
