22 11 001 Replacing right engine mount

Special Tools Required:
- 11 8 380
NOTE:
Application after 03.2002.
Release bolt (1) on engine mount.
Tightening torque, refer to 22 11 6AZ in ENGINE AND GEARBOX SUSPENSION - TIGHTENING TORQUES .
Installation:
Replace screw.
IMPORTANT:
Support engine with trolley jack on oil sump. Risk of damage: Place suitable material on trolley jack to protect oil sump against damage.
- Remove right engine support bracket. Refer to 22 11 100 REPLACING RIGHT ENGINE MOUNTING BRACKET (FROM 12.03) and 22 11 100 REPLACING RIGHT ENGINE MOUNTING BRACKET (UP TO 12.03) .
NOTE:
From 12.2003:
Release bolt (1) and remove engine mount (2).
Tightening torque, refer to 22 11 6AZ in ENGINE AND GEARBOX SUSPENSION - TIGHTENING TORQUES .
NOTE:
Application before 03.2002.
Remove engine mount with special tool 11 8 380.
Installation:
- Replace screw on engine mount.
Tightening torque, 22 11 6AZ in ENGINE AND GEARBOX SUSPENSION - TIGHTENING TORQUES .
- On bodies with M12 threads in the bushing for the engine mount, drill out the top hole to 14 mm diameter and 20 mm deep and surface-grind the contact surface for the bolt head at the bottom. Then paint the bare surfaces with primer.
