18 21 051 Replacing all exhaust suspension elements

WARNING: Danger of burning and other injuries! These tasks should only be carried out on an exhaust system that has cooled down!

Necessary Preliminary Tasks:

Remove rear muffler or exhaust system. Refer to 18 12 030 REMOVING AND INSTALLING/REPLACING REAR MUFFLER (W10)

Release screws (1) and remove reinforcement plate. Remove rubber mount (2) from exhaust pipe and replace.

Tightening torque, refer to 18 00 4AZ in EXHAUST SYSTEM - TIGHTENING TORQUES - COOPER (1.6L) R50/W10 .

Remove rubber mount (1) of rear exhaust suspension element and mountings and replace.

NOTE: Always replace rubber mount if rear muffler mounting or rear exhaust suspension element is replaced.
