64 12 500 Removing and installing / replacing complete heater (Thermo Top S)

Remove front left wheel. See 36 10 300 REMOVING OR INSTALLING FRONT OR REAR WHEEL

Remove trim panel from front left wheelhouse. See 51 71 040 REMOVING AND INSTALLING/REPLACING FRONT LEFT OR RIGHT WHEEL ARCH COVER

CAUTION: Allow engine to cool down.

Unfasten plug connection.

Close off supply and return hose as well as fuel hose with hose clips. Release hose clips (1) and disconnect hoses. Release screws (2) and remove heater.

Installation:

Replace sealing ring and ensure it is correctly seated.

Installation:

Ensure that bracket (1) rests in groove (2).

Bleed independent heating unit.
