11 13 010 Removing and installing/replacing upper oil sump section (N63O1)

Special tools required:

Necessary preliminary tasks:

Drain off ENGINE OIL
LOWER FRONT AXLE
Remove LOWER OIL SUMP SECTION
Remove OIL PUMP .
Release supply/return lines on oil filter
Release holders of supply/return lines on oil sump
Detach plug from oil pressure switch

Unclip wiring harness on oil sump

Release oil filter cover (1) with special tool 11 9 240 .

Tightening torque 11 42 1AZ .

Remove oil filter (1).

Release bolts in area of line (2).

Tightening torque 11 13 2AZ .

Release screws (1).

Release 4 bolts on transmission side.

Installation note:

Clean gasket debris from sealing surfaces with special tool 11 4 470 .

Replace gasket.

Modify oil pressure switch if replacing oil sump.

Assemble engine.
