54 10... Removing and installing or replacing outer gaiter for glass tilt sunroof

Special tools required:

00 9 317

IMPORTANT: Handle the gaiter with extreme care throughout the entire procedure.
Soft component is highly susceptible to tearing.

Necessary preliminary tasks:

Remove TRIM STRIP ON ROOF FRAME
Remove INNER GAITER

Unlock and remove clips (1).

Installation note:

Firstly install gaiter on glass tilt sunroof cover.

Lever out gaiter (1) from glass tilt sunroof cover (2) downwards with special tool 00 9 317 .

Installation note:

If necessary, replace faulty gaiter.

Install gaiter on glass tilt sunroof cover from rear to front.
