67 31 570 Removing and installing/replacing drive unit for head restraint height adjustment on left or right front seat

Necessary preliminary tasks:

Remove CRASH-ACTIVE HEADREST
Remove the backrest cover in the head restraint area. See DRIVER'S SEAT BACKREST COVER (NORMAL/ELECTRIC) , FRONT PASSENGER SEAT BACKREST COVER (NORMAL/ELECTRIC) , DRIVER'S SEAT BACKREST COVER (SPORT) , or FRONT PASSENGER SEAT BACKREST COVER (SPORT) .

Disconnect plug connection (1).

Unfasten screws (2).

Tightening torque 67 31 3AZ .

Feed out drive unit for head restraint height adjustment (3) in direction of arrow and remove.

Carry out FUNCTION CHECK WITH ADAPTER CABLE
INITIALIZE drive unit for head restraint height adjustment.
