67 31 540 Removing and installing/replacing backrest upper section adjustment motor

Necessary preliminary tasks:

Remove the backrest cover from the front seat. See DRIVER'S SEAT BACKREST COVER (NORMAL/ELECTRIC) , FRONT PASSENGER SEAT BACKREST COVER (NORMAL/ELECTRIC) , DRIVER'S SEAT BACKREST COVER (SPORT) , or FRONT PASSENGER SEAT BACKREST COVER (SPORT) .

Unfasten plug connection (1) and disconnect.

Unfasten screws (2).

Tightening torque 67 31 4AZ .

Remove the powertrain (3) from the gearbox.
