51 16 383 Removing and installing/replacing damper for glove box

When working on trim panel components, make sure that visible surfaces are not scratched or damaged (e.g. by sharp-edged tools).

Necessary preliminary tasks: 

NOTE: For clarification purposes, the damper rod has already been removed from the retaining bracket of the glove box cover the graphic.

Unclip damper rod (1) from retaining bracket in direction of arrow of glove box cover (2) and slide back towards rear.

Turn damper (1) approx. 45° in direction of arrow and disconnect.
