51 16 365 Removing and installing/replacing glove box cover

When working on trim panel components, make sure that visible surfaces are not scratched or damaged (e.g. by sharp-edged tools).

Necessary preliminary tasks: 

Spread U clamp (2) of damper (4) until swivel arm (3) slips out.

NOTE: After turning by 90°, damper (4) of glove box housing (1) can be removed.

Release screws (3).

Tightening torque 51 16 15AZ .

If necessary, open glove box cover (1), disengage from clips (2) and remove towards front.
