52 17 310 Replacing left/right seat pan (comfort)

Necessary preliminary tasks:
- Remove SUPPORT FOR OUTER COVER
- Remove COVER FOR FRONT SEAT
- Remove ADJUSTMENT UNIT FOR THIGH SUPPORT
Installation note:
- Microencapsulated screws must be coated with Loctite if they are to be reused
- Screw connection must be completed within 20 mins. (start of curing)
- Microencapsulated screws must not be retightened
- Thread of nut must be cleaned beforehand in event of repeated use
NOTE:
For purposes of clarity, the operations are shown with the component removed.
Lift out cover welt (1) from all around seat frame.
Raise seat cover (2) with upholstery a little.
Unlock plug connection (1) for fan and disconnect.
Release screws (1).
Tightening torque 52 10 7AZ .
Unfasten screws (2).
Tightening torque 52 10 7AZ .
Detach flexmat in area (3).
If necessary, release associated cables and clips.
Feed out bearing (1) in direction of arrow.
Installation note:
Both plastic bearings (1) must be replaced.
Coat transverse pipe (2) with sufficient amount of grease in area of plastic bearing (1).
IMPORTANT:
Use only approved greases.
Feed out seat pan (1) towards the top.
Installation note:
Remount rubber plugs (1) and felt to new seat pan in the same way as for removed seat pan.
