51 16 202 Removing and installing/replacing front cupholder

Necessary preliminary tasks:

Remove center console cover. See 51 16 160 REMOVING AND INSTALLING/REPLACING CENTER CONSOLE COVER .

Release screws (4).

Feed out front can holder (1) from the center console cover (3) toward the back and take it off.

Installation note:

Make sure wiring harness (2) is correctly installed.

Installation note:

Feed retaining tabs (3) of can holder (2) correctly into the securing eye in front of the center console cover (1).

Replacement

Feed out wiring harness (2) including lighting element.
Modify 12 V charging socket
Modify the decorative trim. See 51 16... REMOVING AND INSTALLING/REPLACING CUP HOLDER DECORATIVE TRIM .
