25 11 211 Replacing gearshift arm for gearshift lever mount

Necessary preliminary work:

Remove GEARSHIFT LEVER

Detach support bearing (1) from gearshift arm.

Installation note:

Grease bearing journal.

Grease, refer to BMW Service Operating Fluids. See GEAR SHIFT MECHANISM -- OPERATING FLUIDS .

Attach support bearing (1) with recess (3) towards rear on gearshift arm.

Check bearing bushes for damage.

If necessary, replace BEARING BUSHES .
