61 31 197 Removing/installing (replacing) center console operating facility (M6 with twin-clutch gearbox)

When working on trim panel components, make sure that the sensitive surfaces are not scratched or damaged.
Necessary preliminary tasks:
- Remove center console trim. See 51 16 160 REMOVING AND INSTALLING/REPLACING CENTER CONSOLE COVER .
Release lock washers (1).
Unfasten screws (2).
Remove center console operating unit (3) from center console trim (4).
Replacement:
Remount ELECTROMECHANICAL PARKING BRAKE .
