61 31 172 Removing and installing/replacing switch for electromechanical parking brake (M6 with twin-clutch gearbox)

Necessary preliminary tasks:

DISCONNECT NEGATIVE BATTERY CABLE (to avoid fault memory entries)
Remove center console cover. See 51 16 160 REMOVING AND INSTALLING/REPLACING CENTER CONSOLE COVER .

Release screws (1).

Remove switch for electromechanical parking brake (2) from center console switch center (3).

Replacement:

Release screws (1).

Release side catches (2).

Remove cover (3) from switch for electromechanical parking brake (4).

Installation note:

Retaining elements (1) on cover (2) must not be damaged or missing.
