65 12 240 Removing and installing/replacing digital radio (IBOC) (US version only)

NOTE: FOLLOW INSTRUCTIONS FOR HANDLING OPTICAL FIBRES.

Necessary preliminary tasks:

E72: Disconnect BOTH BATTERY EARTH CABLES
Clamp off battery negative lead
Remove LUGGAGE COMPARTMENT TRIM PANEL on left side wall
If necessary, remove satellite radio

Release screws (1).

Disconnect plug connections (2) and remove digital radio (3) from holder (4).

Replacement:

Remove AERIAL/ANTENNA SPLITTER .

Replacement:

Carry out VEHICLE PROGRAMMING/ENCODING .
