24 23 080 Renew freewheel (GA7AHSCD)

Special tools required:

WARNING: High-voltage system - danger to life!

NOTE: Observe safety instructions for handling hybrid cars!

Necessary preliminary tasks:

Remove AUTOMATIC TRANSMISSION and, with transmission support 24 0 200 , mount on assembly stand 00 2 300

Release nut (1) of high-voltage cable.

Installation note:

Clean thread of high-voltage cable.

Tightening torque, 24 00 8AZ.

Release clamp (1) of cable routing.

Release screws of EMP (2) on gearbox housing.

Tightening torque, 24 00 9AZ.

Release circlip (1).

Installation note:

Replace circlip (1).

Carefully lever out EMP (1) with suitable tool and pull off.

Remove ORC clutch

Insert synchronizing key of special tool set 24 0 360 in drive shaft.

Apply collet (1) on upper collar (2) of ORC clutch and tension.

Hold extractor 24 0 360 and pull ORC clutch off of transmission input shaft with spindle.

IMPORTANT: Risk of damage:
After pulling off the ORC clutch, check that its segments/rolls (1) are complete.
No segments/rolls (1) are permitted to be missing or lying in the transmission.

Mount EMP:

Installation note:

O-ring (1) must be renewed!

IMPORTANT: Mount EMP without radial shaft seal!

Align lugs (1) of drive shaft with recesses (2) on EMP and mount and screw on EMP!

Tightening torque 24 00 9AZ .

Mount ORC clutch:

IMPORTANT: Before mounting ORC clutch, check which thread (left-hand or right-hand thread) is found in the transmission input shaft and use the corresponding spindle of special tool set 24 0 360 !
Note installation position of ORC clutch. Short segments (1) face upward!

Position ORC clutch incl. plastic protective cap, which is used as a mounting aid, on transmission input shaft and press clutch onto transmission input shaft using special tool 24 0 360 .

Mount circlip (1)!

Renew radial shaft seal!

Installation note:

Coat sealing lips of new radial shaft seal with clean transmission oil.

Radial shaft seal firmly home with special tool 24 0 330 .
