51 43 070 Removing and installing/replacing side trim panel, footwell, on A-pillar, left

Necessary preliminary tasks:

Remove FRONT LEFT INSIDE DOOR SILL COVER STRIP
Remove trim panel for pedal mechanism. See TRIM PANEL (US ONLY) or TRIM PANEL (ECE ONLY) .

Release screw (1).

Release screw (2).

Carefully lever out A-pillar trim panel (2) using special tool 00 9 317 .

Disconnect plug connection behind.

Installation note:

Make sure A-pillar trim panel (3) is correctly seated.

If necessary, replace both clips (1) and clamp (2).
