52 14 010 Removing and installing/replacing both seat rails on left or right front seat

Necessary preliminary tasks:

Remove DRIVER'S SEAT or FRONT PASSENGER SEAT .
Remove lower strap (belt tensioner). See REMOVING BELT TENSIONER (DRIVER'S SEAT) or REMOVING BELT TENSIONER (FRONT PASSENGER SEAT) .
Remove TRIMS FOR TOP RAIL .

Unlock and disconnect plug connection (1) on drive for longitudinal seat adjustment.

Release left and right screws (1).

Tightening torque 52 10 6AZ .

Release nuts (2) on left and right on carrier plate.

Remove seat rails with motor carrier plate.

Replacement only:

Release screws (1).

Detach left or right seat rail from flex-shaft.

Detach motor retaining plate with drive and flex-shaft from opposite seat rail.

Installation:

PTFE hoses are shrink-fitted onto end pieces.

Check that hoses are free from damage.
