65 75 572 Removing and installing/replacing module for passenger compartment protection

Remove trim for center console. Refer to 51 16 212 REMOVING AND INSTALLING TRIM FOR CENTER CONSOLE .

Remove screws (1) and (2).

Remove holder (3).

Cut floor carpet (1) at marked point.

Installation: 

Join cutting line at marked points with cable tape.

Insert a suitable screwdriver between module for passenger compartment sensor and holder.

Press down holder lock (1) by gently turning screwdriver.

Detach module for passenger compartment sensor (2) in direction of arrow from holder. Disconnect plug connection.

Installation: 

If necessary, move lock (1) of holder to its original position. Make sure module for passenger compartment sensor is in correct installation position (arrow on housing pointing in direction of travel) and correct seating.
