61 71 061 Replacing fluid tank for windshield washer system

Remove front right wheel arch cover (rear section). Refer to 51 71 040 REMOVING AND INSTALLING/REPLACING FRONT LEFT OR RIGHT WHEEL ARCH COVER .

NOTE: Drain fluid tank for windshield washer system

Disconnect plug connections (1).

Unlock and detach connecting piece (1) of hose.

Detach hose with angle section (2).

Remove hoses from guides.

Installation: 

Make sure hoses are laid without kinks.

Fill fluid tank for windshield washer system.

Loosen screws (1).

Remove fluid tank for windshield washer system (2).

Installation: 

Replace grommet (2) if necessary.

Feed journal (1) into grommet (2).

Remove cap on windshield washer tank (1).

Remove strainer for fluid tank (2).

Pull washer pump for windshield washer system (3) and washer pump for headlight washer system (4) vertically upwards and remove.

Installation: 

Coat sealing rings of washer pump with anti-friction agent.

Replace sealing rings/strainers on washer pumps.
