37 14 055 Removing and installing/replacing Vertical Dynamics Management control unit (VDM with Dynamic Drive)

IMPORTANT: Read and comply with notes on PROTECTION AGAINST ELECTROSTATIC DISCHARGE (ESD PROTECTION) .

Necessary preliminary tasks:

Remove ignition key
Disconnect BATTERY NEGATIVE LEAD
Remove SIDE TRIM PANEL FROM FOOTWELL ON RIGHT A-PILLAR

Fold carpet in footwell at bottom right to one side.

Release screws (1).

Tightening torque 37 14 6AZ .

Unlock plug connections (1) in direction of arrow and disconnect.

Remove control unit.

After installation:

Replacement only: Carry out PROGRAMMING/ENCODING
