51 34... Removing and installing trim on window frame of rear door (rear), left or right

Necessary preliminary tasks: 

IMPORTANT:

Do not scratch or damage visible surfaces.

Feed out rubber window seal (1) in vicinity of cover.

Installation note: 

Follow INSTRUCTIONS  for fitting rubber window seals.

Unscrew screws (2) from cover (1).

Tightening torque 51 35 5AZ .

Lift frame trim from window frame (1) a little way using a special tool 00 9 325 and move cover (2) downwards.

Installation note: 

Engage frame trim correctly into retaining clips at window frame (1) if necessary.

Mask off frame trim at window frame with adhesive tape (2).

Carefully tilt cover (1) outwards, pull out upwards and lay it down.
