51 21 126 Removing and installing/replacing carrier for left or right outside door handle without lock cylinder: Notes

Necessary preliminary tasks:

Remove OUTER HANDLE
Remove TRIM ON WINDOW FRAME OF FRONT DOOR

Close side window (1); in so doing, do not crush or pinch rubber guides (2).

Release screw (1) from cover (2).

Remove cover (2).

Installation note:

Insert rubber seal (3) correctly in guides on door outer skin.

Release fixing screw (1).

Remove plastic guide underneath.

Installation note:

Correctly insert retaining lug (2) and move to stop.

Turn carrier for door outside handle (1) approx. 90° and feed out below.

Installation note:

Ensure correct Bowden cable installation position.
