71 60 100 Removing and installing/replacing control unit for trailer coupling release

Necessary preliminary tasks: 

Unfasten plug connection (1) and disconnect.

Pull out control unit for trailer coupling release (2) towards the top.

Installation note: 

Make sure control unit for trailer coupling release (2) if fitted correctly.

Replacement: 

Perform an initialization in the procedure or manual initialization via the button in the luggage compartment (see appropriate Operating Instructions/Manual). The manual initialization is described in the procedure.
