33 34 070 Removing and installing/replacing integral active steering

Necessary preliminary tasks: 

IMPORTANT: Screws (1) must not be released during removal!

Unlock and disconnect plug connections (1) from steering.

Release screw (2) and remove earth cable.

Tightening torque 33 34 4AZ .

Release screw (1).

Tightening torque 33 34 2AZ .

Release screw (2).

Tightening torque 33 34 1AZ .

Installation note: 

Observe assembly sequence to prevent integral active steering from jamming during installation.

Release bolts (1) and remove integral active front steering towards bottom.

Tightening torque 33 34 3AZ .

Installation note:

IMPORTANT: Observe assembly sequence.

Fasten screws and nuts on the Integral Active Steering at the rear axle support, see illustration.

After installation:
