51 16 176 Removing and installing/replacing center armrest on storage compartment on left or right

00 9 322 , see MAINTENANCE AND GENERAL INFORMATION - SPECIAL TOOLS

Necessary preliminary tasks:

Remove storage box, see 51 16 240 Removing and installing/replacing rear storage box

If necessary, release dummy plate (2) at catches (3) and remove from storage box (1).

Release retaining lugs (2) with special tool 00 9 322 .

Feed center armrest (1) in direction of arrow out of storage box (4).

Installation:

Retaining lugs (2) and guides (3) must not be damaged.
