22 31 050 Replacing cross-member for transmission mounting (AWD manual transmission)

Necessary preliminary tasks:

Remove REAR UNDERBODY PROTECTION
Remove EXHAUST SYSTEM (N54) .
Remove heat shields.
Support transmission with workshop jack

NOTE: Not M57T2

Release screws.

Remove exhaust system bracket (1).

Tightening torque 18 20 1AZ .

Disengage cable for exhaust temperature sensor from holders on transmission cross-member (N53 only).

Release screws.

Remove transmission cross-member.

Tightening torque 27 00 10AZ .
