51 16 155 Replacing locator for front ashtray insert (up to 03/2007)

Necessary preliminary tasks:

Remove TRIM FOR STORAGE COMPARTMENT
Remove FRESH-AIR GRILLE IN REAR CABIN

Lever out trim (1) on left/right at rear end and pull out of storage compartment (2) in direction of arrow.

Installation:

Retainers (1) and guide (2) on trim (3) must not be damaged.

Release nuts (1) and pull storage compartment (2) towards rear slightly.

Pull storage compartment back until plug connection (1) and screws (3) are accessible.

Disconnect plug connection (1) and detach plug from receptacle (2).

Release screws (3) and remove receptacle (2).

Installation:

Retainers (4) must not be damaged or missing.

Installation:

Do not damage guides (2) when feeding storage compartment (1) in.
