54 10 513 Clean slide/tilt sunroof and check water drain hoses for continuity

Clean slide/tilt sunroof guide rails in front area with crevice nozzle (1).

To prevent dirt contamination, partially cover/mask off roof lining.

Clean slide/tilt sunroof guide rails in rear area with crevice nozzle (1).

Top up left and right water drain channels (1) carefully with water using a standard spray bottle (at least 500 ml).

Remove cover of battery tray (1) at bottom rear right.

NOTE: The rear bumper panel is shown removed for purposes of clarity.

Check that water drains on both side at the valve (2) of the water drain hose (1).

IMPORTANT: If no water emerges after a certain period of time (approx. 5 minutes), perform the following steps until water emerges (performed for a separate charge):

Pull off valve (2) of water drain hose (1) on left and right. Valve (2) must not be refitted. Clean both rear water drain hoses.
Observe repair instructions "CLEANING BOTH REAR WATER DRAIN HOSES FOR PANORAMA GLASS ROOF ".

Check roofliner in area of D-pillar trim panel, spare wheel well and luggage compartment side boxes for emergence of water.
