61 13 ... Replacing interior fuse box for cars before 09/2005 with one with a new build date

NOTE: The build date of the fuse box can be recognized from the fuse assignment and the associated fuse board.

New version:

Fuse number 45 has 40 amps.

Replacement: Replace Fuse Box.

Previous version:

Fuse number 45 has 20 amps.

Replacement: Carry out following operations to reconnect plug connections.

Necessary preliminary tasks:

Remove interior Fuse Box.

NOTE: Positions of plugs and associated pin assignments are set out in the DIS.

The repair instruction represents the highest vehicle configuration. Pin assignments of plug connections may be absent if optional extras are not fitted.

Following special tools are required for disconnecting the plugs:

Secondary locking, all plugs:

Special tool 61 0 324

Primary locking for plugs X11001, X11002, X11004, X11005, X11006:

Special tool 61 0 316

Primary locking for plug X11007:

Special tool for crimping contact:

Double flat spring contact:
