11 53 000 Removing and installing/replacing coolant thermostat (M52/S52)

Remove FAN COUPLING WITH FAN WHEEL AND FAN COWL .
Drain and dispose of coolant.
Installation:
Replace seal.
Tightening torque, 18 Ft. Lbs. (25 N.m)
Bleed cooling system and check for water leaks.
Unfasten water hoses.
Unscrew suspension eye.
Remove cable channel.
Unfasten thermostat housing.
Installation:
Keep sealing faces clean and free of oil.
Replace seal.
Installation:
Check installed direction.
Vent with arrow facing upwards
Replace seal.
