NVH Shield

Transaxle NVH Shield

1. Disable the high voltage electrical system. For additional information, refer to HIGH VOLTAGE TRACTION BATTERY .
2. Remove the rear transmission insulator bracket. For additional information, refer to TRANSMISSION INSULATOR AND RETAINER - REAR .
3. Remove the wiring harness retainer and selector lever cable from the studs.

4. Remove the NVH shield stud.
   • Tighten to 9 Nm (80 lb-in).

5. Remove the 2 transaxle harness electrical connector bracket bolts.
   • Tighten to 9 Nm (80 lb-in).

6. Remove the stud bolt and disconnect the transaxle harness electrical connector.
   • Tighten to 10 Nm (89 lb-in).

7. Remove the 2 nuts from the bottom of the NVH shield.
   • Tighten to 9 Nm (80 lb-in).

8. Remove the NVH shield.
9. To install, reverse removal procedure.
