Normal Operation

The instrument cluster (IC) receives the digital transmission range (TR) sensor status message from the PCM over the high speed controller area network (HS-CAN). If the engine speed is greater than 400 RPM, the hour meter records the amount of time the engine runs with the transmission in PARK (P) or NEUTRAL (N).
