Test T: Right Hand Turn Indicator Never/Always On

  1. Check right turn signal operation. Turn key ON. Right turn signal on. Does the right turn signal operate properly? If yes, go to step  3 . If no, diagnose problem in turn signal circuit.
  2. Check right turn indicator bulb. Turn key OFF. Remove the instrument cluster. See INSTRUMENT CLUSTER  under REMOVAL & INSTALLATION. Remove the right hand turn indicator miniature bulb. Measure the continuity between the terminals of the right hand turn indicator miniature bulb. Does continuity exist? If yes, go to next step. If no, replace the right hand turn indicator miniature bulb.
  3. Check right turn signal input to instrument cluster. Turn key OFF. Locate and disconnect the instrument cluster connector C270. Turn key ON. Right turn signal on. Measure the voltage on the Red/White wire at the instrument cluster connector C270. See WIRING DIAGRAMS  . Does the voltage alternate between 0 and 10 volts? If yes, replace the instrument cluster printed circuit. See INSTRUMENT CLUSTER PRINTED CIRCUIT  under REMOVAL & INSTALLATION. If no, repair Red/White wire.
