Instrument Cluster & Panel Lighting - Inspection & Verification

  1. Verify customer concern by operating the instrument cluster and panel lighting system.
  2. Visually inspect the following components of the instrument cluster and panel lighting system, see VISUAL INSPECTION TABLE  .
    VISUAL INSPECTION

    Mechanical Electrical
    Sticking Or Binding Light Switch Rheostat Resistor Blown Fuse: 15A TAIL LAMP, 10A ELECTRON BAT
    Loose Or Corroded Connections
    Damaged Wiring Harness
    Damaged Light Switch Rheostat Resistor
    Damaged Switches
    Damaged Or Loose Lamps
  3. If fault is not visually evident, repair by symptom. See SYMPTOM INDEX  table under PINPOINT TESTS.
