U1: Check Wire Between OD/TRIP Switch & Instrument Cluster

With the ignition switch in the OFF position, disconnect the Message Center Control Assembly (MCCA) switch module connector. Remove the instrument cluster and disconnect the instrument cluster connector C3. Measure the resistance of the Red/Blue wire between the MCCA connector and terminal No. 13 of the instrument cluster connector C3. See WIRING DIAGRAMS  . Measure the resistance of the Red/Blue wire between the MCCA connector and ground. See WIRING DIAGRAMS  . Is the resistance less than 5 ohms between the MCCA and the instrument cluster, and greater than 10,000 ohms between the MCCA and ground? If yes, go to the next step. If no, service the Red/Blue wire.
