AA5: Check Top Black Diode Strip

With the ignition key in the OFF position, remove the top black diode strip from the diode junction box. Place the Rotunda 73 Digital Multimeter 105-00051, or equivalent in the diode check mode. Check the continuity of the top black diode strip by placing the positive lead on terminal No. 2 and the negative lead on terminal No. 5 of the top black diode strip. See WIRING DIAGRAMS  . Does continuity exist? If yes, replace the instrument cluster. If no, replace the top black diode strip.
