AP3: Check Wire Between Light Switch Rheostat Resistor & Diode Junction Box

With the ignition key in the OFF position, disconnect the light switch rheostat resistor connector. Remove the instrument cluster. Remove the bottom green diode strip from the diode junction box located behind the instrument cluster. Measure the resistance of the Bloack wire between terminal No. 10 of the light switch rheostat resistor connector and terminal No. 24 of the diode junction box. See WIRING DIAGRAMS  . Is the resistance less than 5 ohms? If yes, go to the next step. If no, service the Black wire.
