A5: Check Ground At Cigar Lighter

With the ignition key in the OFF position, disconnect the cigar lighter connector Black wire located in the instrument panel ash receptacle. Measure the resistance of the Black wire between the cigar lighter connector and ground. See WIRING DIAGRAMS  . Is the resistance less than 5 ohms? If yes, replace the cigar lighter knob and element. If no, service the Black wire.
