Instrument Cluster Printed Circuit: Removal

  1. Remove the instrument cluster. See INSTRUMENT CLUSTER  .
  2. Remove the four speedometer screws and the two odometer screws. See Figure .
  3. Remove the seven instrument cluster main lens screws and the instrument cluster main lens. See Figure .
  4. Remove the instrument cluster mask. See Figure .
  5. Remove the fuel gauge/temperature gauge assembly. See Figure .
  6. Remove the tachometer. See Figure .
  7. Remove the speedometer/odometer assembly.
    8. CAUTION: Electronic modules are sensitive to static electrical charges. If exposed to these charges, damage may result.
  8. Depress the clip on the fuel indicator module and remove the fuel indicator module. See Figure .
  9. Remove the two air bag warning LED assembly screws from the air bag warning LED assembly leads. Turn the air bag warning LED assembly counterclockwise and remove it from the instrument cluster.
  10. Turn the five illumination lamps and the 15 indicator lamps counterclockwise and remove them from the instrument cluster.
  11. Compress both ends of the indicator terminals. See Figure .
    12. NOTE: The indicator terminals should not be reused.
  12. Remove and discard the nine indicator terminals from the rear of the instrument cluster back plate. See Figure .
  13. Carefully remove the instrument cluster printed circuit. See Figure .
