Charging System

A charging system indicator illuminates whenever the generator (GEN) output is insufficient to maintain the battery state of charge. Under normal operation, the indicator goes out after the engine is started and the charging system begins to operate. If the indicator illuminates while the engine is running or after the ignition key is removed, a malfunction is indicated.
